If you’re one of those who’s been champing at the bit for the first new album of original Rolling Stones music since 2005’s A Bigger Bang, you won’t have to wait much longer.
The album will drop Friday October 20, and the first single, Angry, will drop Wednesday. To mark that, at 6:30am Pacific, Mick, Keith, and Ronnie will sit down with Jimmy Fallon in Hackney London – a hood which is “at the heart” of the new album, according to the band’s media release – for a chat, which will stream live on YouTube.
This follows a teaser campaign and a snippet of the new song, which dropped recently.
According to Keef, the new set includes final recordings from Charlie Watts, who passed away in 2021, and additional drumsmashing duties from his touring replacement Steve Jordan. Hackney Diamonds also possibly features Paul McCartney as a guest; there were also rumors that Ringo Starr was on board, but that has not been confirmed.
If only Charlie were here for this.
