Noted eschewer of headgear Colin Doroschuk, who cofounded 80s hitsters Men Without Hats, is the new head of voice for the Victoria Conservatory Of Music’s classical school, and director of voice for its contemporary school.
He’s well known for his electronica expertise, but he’s also well versed in classical; he wrote the opera Évangéline, and is a resident Victoria Ballet composer.
Despite decades and decades of his association with the ostensibly chapeau-avoiding band, I have in fact seen Colin wearing a hat. Twice.
