Loverboy, Glass Tiger, and eleven other iconic Canadian rockers will take their places in Canada’s Walk Of Fame in a mega-induction this September.
A plenitude of 70s and 80s Great White North rockers will be feted during the Rock Of Fame, with the roster covering progressive rock, heavy metal, glam, and a number of subgenres. April Wine, the first Canadian act to land one of its videos on MTV, will join noted big hair and new wave afficionados Platinum Blonde, almost-an-album-a-year-for-14-years stalwarts Chilliwack, queer punk esthetic champions Rough Trade and many others.

Performers and presenters will be revealed in the coming weeks; the ceremony will be held at Toronto’s Massey Hall on Thursday September 28, with tickets going on sale this Friday at 10am Eastern. The Rock Of Fame is part of the Walk Of Fame’s 25th anniversary celebrations, and will be followed by the annual induction bash Saturday December 02, at which Connor McDavid and Rick Mercer will be among the honorees.
