Kings Of Leon have dropped another single from their new album O My Beloved, and the lyric video is a first of its kind.
On Cold New Dawn, satellite imagery of rivers, coastlines, mountain ranges, farmland, and more from NASA’s historic Landsat program was used to spell out each word using every letter of the lyrics; this was a partnership effort with The Weather Channel, which is the consumer division of The Weather Company.
“My family was already die-hard Weather Channel followers,” says Caleb Followill. “So we saw what they did with our song immediately and thought it was beautiful. We learned they were making music a larger part of what they do and we reached out immediately to try and do something together. They have been super cool to work with, and we hope this unlikely partnership keeps going because it makes a lot of sense to us.”
O My Beloved – the band’s tenth album – will arrive Friday November 06 on Love Tap Records.
