Recently, TD discontinued their funding of the Victoria Jazz Society. With that significant amount of support gone, the future of Jazzfest, The Harbor Blues ‘n Roots Festival – which is already on hiatus – year round performances, and support for school music programs could be in jeopardy.
For the first time in its history, the society has launched a fundraising campaign, with a goal of $250,000 by the end of October. You’ll find the pledge page with much more information right over here – and hear Jazzfest Artistic Director Darryl Mar‘s chat with me below.
