Album number sixteen from U2, Carnaval De Luz – their first collection of new material in nine years – will be dropping Friday November 13.

The news comes with another new track, Silencio. The album was recorded all over the place and produced by Jacknife Lee; it’s a collection of twelve tunes which explore spirituality, friendship, freedom, and endurance in the face of dark forces. Timely, that last bit. One of the tracks was cowritten by and features the late Dolly Parton.

The music video for Silencio was shot in Mexico City earlier this year, as was Street Of Dreams, which dropped back in July.
