Green Day have revealed the soundtrack for their fortchoming coming-of-age film Nimrods, which includes a new tune, I’m Never Gonna R.I.P.
The film is coming in August, with the soundtrack dropping at the end of July, containing 22 tracks which span Green Day’s career, including four previously unheard live tracks which were recorded at the Los Angeles Palladium and featured in the film.
Nimrods will get a limited release in UK cinemas on August 11, and will land in North American theaters three days later. It follows three friends who travel to Los Angeles mistakenly believing their band has scored a support slot with Green Day on New Year’s Eve; it’s based on the adventures of Green Day, who lived in a van before they hit the jackpot with the Dookie album in 1994.
