After struggling with fertility, Katie and Ryan finally welcomed little Faith to the world via IVF – and not long after, joy turned to devastation, when Faith was diagnosed with a malignant rhabdoid tumor – a rare and aggressive cancer. They’re currently in Vancouver at BC Children’s Hospital, and Katie’s former Boston Pizza coworkers are doing a big fundraiser for the family this weekend.
This Sunday, Boston Pizza Saanich (beside Save-On-Foods across from Uptown) will host the event from 4pm til 8pm. Katie’s former teammates will be serving, and donating 100 percent of their tips and wages; as well, $10 from every pizza will be contributed. Takeout and delivery orders will also support the cause.
