Alex Van Halen‘s memoir Brothers – about his relationship with his late brother Eddie – dropped today, and to celebrate, he’s unveiled the full six minute version of Unfinished, which is the final tune he and Eddie wrote and recorded.
According to Alex, there are plenty of unreleased Van Halen tunes, although not many are complete, and many more don’t have vocals. He says “You’re gonna think I’m out of my f*****g mind” regarding his idea for a vocalist, namely Robert Plant – but “when conditions are right, things will manifest.”
