September 22 1969, The Band dropped their second album, also known as The Brown Album. Mostly recorded in the pool house at Sammy Davis Jr‘s house in the Hollywood Hills, it included many of their best-known songs, and it’s one of our Classic Album Extra Helping selections. On its 55th birthday, Quintin M will play all of The Band, Sunday night at 7 on the Q.
