David Bowie‘s Let’s Dance album turns 40 today; to mark the occasion, I’ll play all eight tracks tonight at 7 and tomorrow morning at 1.
In 2002, Bowie and producer Larry Dvoskin did a completely different, dreamy electronic version of the title track – and it’s being made available for the first time ever, as part of a package of NFTs.
Gala Music, which is a side gig of Web3 startup Gala Games, has hooked up with Dvoskin and Warner-Chappell Music – the owners of the Bowie catalog – to release a limited series of 3,003 NFTs featuring Bowie-inspired artwork, and each one unlocks access to the previously unheard version of the tune.
Put on your red shoes and dance the blues!
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of ‘Let’s Dance’ we’re releasing a never before heard version of #DavidBowie‘s iconic track with proceeds donated to @MusiCares.

The NFTs are being made available with pay-what-you-wish, and all initial proceeds will benefit MusiCares, the charity which provides health and other services to the music community.
