Sir Mick Jagger will be releasing his own limited edition line of harmonicas.
In a media release, the Stones man called his collaboration with whynow Music and Lee Oskar as “fantastic news”, saying that “hopefully some of them will get into the hands of young harmonica players who turn out to be the legends of the future.”
As for his own harpin’, he learned from some of the masters: “I started to learn the harmonica after hearing the greats of the blues such as Little Walter and Sonny Boy Williamson. Since then I’ve played harmonica on so many tracks and at countless gigs over the years.”
The new ‘monicas are limited to 2,500 units, come in ten major diatonic keys, and each one will be nestled in a custom Mick Jagger-branded case. They cost $US60, will ship Wednesday February 08, and can be preordered over here.
