Belfry Theatre "Big Stuff"
“Big Stuff” at the Belfry Theatre from March 10-21.
“Big Stuff” is a Comedy duo—and married couple—Matt Baram (Umbrella Academy, The Apprentice Movie) and Naomi Snieckus (Mr.D, Handmaid’s Tale) invite you to Big Stuff, a funny, generous, and surprisingly moving exploration of the objects we hold onto—and the memories we’re afraid to lose.
This fast-paced two-hander unpacks the emotional and absurd aspects of loss – from basement clutter to memories that linger.
They turn everyday “things” into portals to love, loss, and identity. She wants to keep everything. He wants to throw it all away. Is she sentimental? Is he heartless? Or are they both just trying to make sense of what we carry with us—and why?
Big Stuff asks a simple question: What would you keep, and what would you let go?
AUDIENCE ADVISORY
This production contains one or two uses of strong language and examines mature themes, including sexual innuendo. And loss… so that’ll be fun! Matt and Naomi gently interact with audience members from time to time. Recommended for ages 14+.
