Recently went on a local walk with my son as he said he would like to cleanup the culvert at Westhills Park. I guess it’s been a local hangout and a popular spot for dumping of garbage.
My son spent a couple hours picking up all the garbage including some things you had to be gloved for, especially broken glass. He pulled out over thirty pounds of garbage and recyclables.
We had a great time cleaning up the local neighborhood . A couple weeks later we went back to check on clear water flow and it was really amazing to see what he had done had really made a difference! He is now the proud owner of a picker stick which is great for cleanups.
What a fantastic way to spend an afternoon- talk about feel good!
