Curling down aisle 5 for $1000
If you were recently shopping at Red Barn Market in North Sannich, you might have been caught in the middle of a high-stakes curling match!
The Q was live on location last Wednesday, October 7th at Red Barn market in North Saanich, brining a whole new meaning to “clean sweep on aisle five.” Ryan and Shane hit the market floor alongside Q Roadies Josh and Tyson for our 2nd Annual Red Barn-spiel.
12 contestants battle down aisle 5 for the grand prize of $1000 in grocery money! The contestants had an awesome time! There were tons of laughs and smiles, food and prizes! After a nail-biting finish that came down to the final milimeter, listener Danielle Kenney curled her way to the top and took home $1,000 in grocery money, with Ralph Dafoe close behind for $500. In the spirit of giving thanks, every other player left with a $100 Red Barn Market gift card and a can of cranberries!
Shout out to all the listeners who came down to cheer on the players!
Huge thank you to Lori King and @rocksandringscurling for supplying the equipment and making sure we weren’t on the rocks and Red Barn for hosting and suppling everyone with a delicious charcuterie for snacks!
