B.C.’s next municipal elections are Saturday, October 17, 2026
You are here: Municipal | Jump to: Provincial (Premier and MLAs)
Polls will be open from 8am to 8pm on voting day.
You will be able to cast votes for Mayor, Councillors, and School District Trustees.
Some municipalities will also include referendum questions, including Saanich and Victoria, who will ask voters a non-binding question to gauge support for the two becoming one municipality.
Here is the province’s page on the elections.
Advance Voting
In addition to voting day, there will be multiple opportunities to vote in advance.
All of our local municipalities will have advance voting on Wednesday, October 7.
Almost all municipalities will also have advance voting on Wednesday, October 14 (except View Royal, on October 13, which is why I double-checked all 13 of them when making this page).
Additional advance voting days will be noted below, but please confirm with your district before heading to the polls.
If you would like to vote by mail, check with your municipality for their specific dates and requirements.
