Wood Chips, Bottles & Community Power!
View Royal Elementary held a bottle drive and wood chipping event where View Royal’s FireSmart came to speak with everyone about fire safety and how to reduce the risk of fires in your home. Students helped by counting the bottles, making it a fun experience. All donations collected will go toward school supplies, field trips, and more.
St. Joseph’s Elementary School and Knights of Columbus #13356 held a bottle drive and wood chipping event to raise money for the Grade 7 graduation party. We had so much fun collecting trees, eating snacks, and counting bottles.
The Central Saanich Lions Club is wrapping up their last day of picking up old Christmas trees. They have been collecting since Christmas and have gathered a mountain of trees. All of their donations will go toward community events in Central Saanich.
