Someone has used artificial intelligence voice cloning to create a cover version of Taylor Swift‘s Blank Space – done by the late Man In Black, because why should Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr hog all of the limelight?

Dallas musician Dustin Ballard, the mad genius behind the There I Ruined It TikTok account has put together a clip that’s actually quite impressive. The chorus – talking about the singer’s long list of ex-lovers who will tell you that she’s insane – is authentically and eerily transformed with Johnny Cash‘s voice, more than twenty years after he passed away.

Cash stans may recall that earlier this year, Ballard did an AI mashup of Aqua‘s Barbie Girl, Spice Girls‘ Wannabe, and Miley Cyrus‘ Party In The USA, ahead of Greta Gerwig‘s juggernaut Barbie film, to the tune of Folsom Prison Blues. Because why not.
