We are excited to once again partner with the Victoria Pride Society to celebrate Victoria Pride Festival 2025!

VICTORIA PRIDE PARADE

This annual event celebrates diversity, equity and inclusion with the largest display of Pride on Vancouver Island. An estimated 40,000 spectators are expected to view the parade, which has more than 120 entries each year.   Since 1994, the annual Victoria Pride Parade has brought together people to increase the visibility of the diverse Queer community in Victoria, celebrate resilience and protest against continued marginalization. The parade has become one of the largest on the island.

VICTIORIA PRIDE EVENTS:

• June 1 - Big Gay Dog Walk at Banfield Park: This event is a wonderful community get together celebrating our furry four-legged friends while connecting businesses and community members for an unforgettable afternoon of fun contests, vending opportunities and a place to gather and celebrate.
• July 1 - Memorial Drag Ball at Vic West Park: An annual event for over 30 year, this is a grassroots community event to honour those that have lost their lives to the AIDS epidemic.  Without those that came before us, we would not be here now. This is a fun "sports" event where the whole community comes out to honour and celebrate with a rousing game of baseball featuring many of our local Drag Queens and Kings.
• July 3 - Pride in the Word: (Location TBD) Canada's LARGEST queer pride week literary event.  This event is a celebration of our writers and poets, who share their works with the whole community. This is an impactful, heartfelt and meaningful celebration of the written and spoken word by and for our GSRD/2SLGBTQIA+ community.  By far one of the most moving events we offer.
• July 6 - Pride Parade in Downtown Victoria: Come dance with us through the streets of Victoria as we celebrate all of our diverse and beautiful communities! This is an event the city looks forward to every year and we are so excited to offer this spectacle of celebration every year! Historically the parade has been broadcast by Chek 6 and The Zone. This is THE event of the year for visibility, celebration and community spirit!
• July 6 - Pride Festival at MacDonald Park: Our yearly parade leads to one of Victoria's only large scale FREE entertainment and celebratory event! With over 60,000 attendees each year, this is a massive event celebrating the diverse representation of local and international performing artists and local craft vendors.  We provide opportunities for our GSRD/2SLGBTQIA+ businesses, artists and performers to showcase their BEST work all in celebration of our GSRD/2SLGBTQIA+ communities.
