I'm not a student. But I'm making a nomination regardless. An I am nominating my wife. She is the French language teacher at Royal Bay. This is just her second year teaching at Royal Bay (was at Porier previously) and as you can imagine the first year of a new job is tough. New kids, new staff new building and all new lessons to be planned. Starting from zero and building up the lesson plans for French 9, 10, 11 & 12. And this year was supposed to be easier since you can reuse your lesson plans, but covid says no. With the new system at Royal Bay she only sees each class for 5 weeks. So the entire course needs to get compressed and re organized. And she's doing all this while completing her Masters in Education! Every night, once our daughter is in bed, she gets back to work. If She's not planning or marking, she's working on her masters. She works her ass off 7 days a week and deserve credit. Plus going to work in the pandemic where mask aren't mandatory. High risk and high stress added to the regular daily stresses of a tough job. There's no way I could do what she does. She's awesome.
