Win Your Montreal Canadiens Alumni Charity Game Tickets From Scott James
Montreal Canadiens alumni – some of the greatest the National Hockey League has ever seen — will be meeting Victoria firefighting personnel in a charity game at The Q Centre on Sunday February 10, with all proceeds going towards the purchase of a second stage recovery house, which is currently rented by The Umbrella Society.
The Q‘s Cliff LeQuesne will be your game day announcer, and Premier John Horgan will be dropping the puck to kick things off. Marty and Grizz will be in the house for photo opportunities, and there’s more game day fun planned, including chuck-a-puck, a 50/50 draw, and a silent auction.
Single tickets are $20. Thanks to a partnership with The Victoria Grizzlies, a doubleheader deal is available: if you’re attending the charity game and the Grizzlies game later, you can get a discounted ticket for both, for $30. VIP tickets are $75, and include a meet ‘n greet with the Canadiens, up to two items autographed, lunch, and your game day ticket. Ticket links and more information are right over this way.
If all that isn’t quite enough for you, how’s this: you could be behind the bench with Steve Shutt as his assistant coach on game day. We’ll have more details about that for you soon on The Q.
If you’d like to pick up a couple of free tickets to the charity game, here’s the deal: check in with me at 1040am each day this week (Monday January 14 through Friday January 18). I’ll give you a hockey-related keyword; text that keyword to me at 250 475 100.3, along with your first and last name, and I’ll put you in the draw for those tickets. If you send the correct keyword, you’ll get a text back from me right away, and I’ll make the draw each day just before 2pm. Giddy-up.
Here’s the starting Canadiens lineup, which is subject to change (portable document format).
