BC Ferries is reminding customers the new smoke-free rules are coming into place soon.
Starting January 22, terminals and vessels will be smoke free zones with no tobacco or e-cigarettes allowed.
That includes the interior of all vehicles on BC Ferries properties.
“This new policy supports the health and wellness of our customers and our employees by reducing the exposure to second-hand smoke,” said Mark Collins, BC Ferries; President in a release.
The move is expected to reduce the number of complaints from customers about second hand smoke.
