bar offers free beer until Packers score: forced to give away 300 cups
The Green Bay Packers went from a Super Bowl contender to an afterthought when Aaron Rodgers broke his collarbone in Week 6 of the NFL season. A bar in Wisconsin never planned on giving away this much free beer.
The Bavarian Bierhaus, based in Glendale, Wisconsin, offers free beers on Sundays from kickoff until the Packers score. They’ve been pouring a ton of free beer ever since Rodgers was injured.
On Sunday November 19th, The Packers got shut out by the Baltimore Ravens, which meant free beer during the entire game.
Because of the shutout, The Bavarian Beirhaus gave away somewhere between 275 to 300 cups of free beer, according to the bar’s general manager.
He says he has no plans to stop the promotion after the Packers’ offensive power struggle.
