Carlos Aguilera played his saxophone at the end of the operation to help neurosurgeons during the final stages of his operation at the Malaga Regional Hospital in Spain.

Earlier this year, a musician was asked by his surgeons to play the saxophone during a brain operation to make sure they weren’t affecting his musical abilities. The result is pretty amazing to see.

Carlos Aguilera, who was on painkillers, managed to play his alto sax during the 12-hour surgery in mid-October. Since the operation, Aguilera has gone public to say he’s healthy and continues to play saxophone with an orchestra in Malaga, Spain.
