Funnyguy Mike Myers writes about Wayne Campbell, the Leafs and his 53-year relationship with his beloved Canada and his career in a book due out in October.

The book to be published by Doubleday Canada is described as part memoir, part history, and “complete entertainment”.

“I’m an actor, producer and writer, but no description of me is complete without saying I’m a Canadian,” says Mike Myers. “In 1967, Canada turned 100. Canadians all across the country made Centennial projects. This book is my Centennial Project. I’m handing it in a little late…..sorry.”

We’ll find out how much Myer’s will dish on his fellow Saturday Night Live alumni and what went into creating some of his most loved characters like Dieter (“Sprockets”), hyper-active helmet wearing kid Phillip, and Linda Richman (star of “Coffee Talk”). Surely the Scarborough- raised comedian will have a few things to say about Austin Powers and Dr. Evil.

Fully illustrated, it will include images from Mike Myers’ personal archive. He began his professional career with Chicago’s Second City Troupe. Saturday Night Live producer Lorne Michaels’ discovery of Myers at Second City led to his debut as a featured performer and writer on the show in 1989.

No word if Myers will have a few things to say about his comedy flop, The Love Guru.
