A Flock Of SeagullsAli Score turned 64 this past Monday; their 1982 smash hit I Ran (So Far Away) holds the record for the most plays on MTV, largely because when it was released, there just weren’t that many other music videos around — and because MTV execs figured that its semi-futuristic vibe was exactly what they needed.

So, we’re giving a nod to the 80s on The Q’s Rockline Theme Thursday today.  Just about any rock song which was released in that decdade is probably fair game.

If there’s a particular song you’d like me to play for you, send me an e-mail request, or join me at noon oh five and call or text me at 250 475 100.3 as we, like, totally gnarl it up, on The Q’s Rockline Theme Thursday.

Fire up the audio player below to hear some musical selections which would get thumbs up from the the Rockline Theme Thursday judging panel today.

Love, Dr. Scott “Shag Haircut” James
