Today in 2005, Pink Floyd were voted the greatest rockstars ever in a survey of 58000 listeners of UK radio outfit Planet Rock Led Zeppelin were in second place, The Rolling Stones were third, fourth place went to The Who, and AC/DC were at number five.  U2, Guns N’ Roses, Nirvana, Bon Jovi and Jimi Hendrix rounded out the list at six through ten, respectively.

While they were at it, the radio types also asked their respondents to identify what they considered the golden age of rock.  The 70s came out on top, followed by the 60s.  What’s your take on that?
