Keep an eye open for your property assessment in the mail. Notices are going out to owners of 148,000 properties in the capital region, and homeowners will generally see assessment increases of between 2% and 8%.
BC Assessment sends property owners an annual notice each year, giving fair market value of their property as of July 1, about six months prior to the release of the current year assessment. You should receive a notice in early January.
