It’s just about time for the best meteor shower in a long time!

The Perseid meteor shower – already great for providing tons of meteors in not-too-cold-at-night August – might be even better than usual this year. We could get somewhere in the 100-200 meteor per hour range in dark areas!

It peaks Thursday (August 11) night and into Friday morning. The moon will go down at 12:56am, so the skies will be perfect between about 1-5am. Find a dark spot, bundle up, look up, and enjoy!
