Guns N’ Roses are gearing up for their big reunion at Coachella, which will be followed by a national tour — and it looks as if that tour will be replenishing the coffers of Axl and Co. quite nicely. Word on the street is that the band will be commanding $3 million US per show, with ticket prices topping out in the $250 to $275 range.
Or, if those tickets are a bit too plebian for you, you could always slam your card down for the Guns N’ Roses VIP Experience.
You won’t actually get to hang out with the band, but you will get some fairly decent perks. The package includes a seat within the first ten rows and a tour of the rarely-seen backstage area prior to the show. You’ll also get an autographed, silk-screened limited edition Guns N’ Roses tour poster with a certificate of authenticity and a pre-show onstage photo opportunity. But wait, there’s more: VIP hospitality lounge access with band themed cocktails included, a dinner buffet, line-free merchandise shopping, an individual host, priority check-in, your own separate entrance and one of the gift bags which will be created individually for each VIP guest. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to decide whether or not all of that is worth $2,500 US.
Rumors about a Guns N’ Roses reunion have been flying for some time, and it was finally confirmed earlier this month that the original members were ready to get back together and headline Coachella. Ahead of that, a Guns N’ Roses documentary will premiere on the BBC. The Most Dangerous Band In The World: The Story of Guns N’ Roses chronicles the band’s history, including their acrimonious split in 1993, and the road back to the reunion.
