Jeff Beck (who is turning 72 today, June 24th) is releasing a new album here July 15th.

“Live In The Dark” is the lead from his forthcoming album, “Loud Hailer.”

The tune features vocals by London singer Rosie Bones, who Beck met through a chance meeting last year at a birthday party for Queen drummer Roger Taylor that led to the trio’s collaboration.

“She invited me to one of their shows, and I was blown away,” recalls Beck. “When we got together in January, I explained the subject matter I had in mind, we sat down by the fire and got right to it. The songs came together very quickly; five in three days.”

Due July 15, “Loud Hailer” sees Beck produce his first record in six years alongside Filippo Cimatti, with bassist Giovanni Pallotti and drummer Davide Sollazzi filling out the lineup.

  1. Rock out! Dang Jeff Beck – get down with your bad 72-year-old self! Hey, just proves rock ‘n roll never ages. Two awesome performers on opposite age spectrums. Okay, that’s a little deep. I’ll leave now.

Rock on Q and Happy Canada Day all!
