The Queen of Oak Bay cancelled a round trip this morning after a sudden death onboard the ferry.
Nanaimo RCMP Const. Gary O’Brien says a man died on the ship that arrived at Departure Bay at 8 a.m.
O’Brien says the death is not considered to be suspicious and is being investigated by the RCMP and Coroner’s Service.
The Queen of Oak Bay’s 8:30 sailing from Departure Bay and the 10:30 a.m. sailing leaving Horseshoe Bay were both cancelled.
