The manager of the Esquimalt Legion says their days are likely numbered.
Doug Grant says an expensive, long court battle with a developer and declining membership could mean the Legion won’t last past next summer.
“It’s a two part situation, we need the support of our community,” said Grant. “We are now in a whole new ball game.”
The deal with a developer to create a 12 storey high rise building at 622 Admirals went south and has been tied up in court for almost two years.
Grant says he expects court costs will be around 120,000.
A GoFundMe Campaign has been set up to raise money.
