Last night, as the Guns N’ Roses Not In This Lifetime Tour touched down in ZZ Top‘s home city of Houston Texas, they were joined onstage by one third of the state’s iconic Little Ol’ Band: Billy Gibbons. ZZ Top previously served as Guns N’ Roses’ opening act, and last night, Gibbons added his trademark guitar to a solo during Patience, sharing licks with Slash and Duff McKagan.
Attendees at shows on the tour have been treated to a number of surprises, including guest appearances from Angus Young, duets with P!nk, and cover songs ranging from Soundgarden‘s Black Hole Sun to the late Glen Campbell‘s Wichita Lineman.
The Not In This Lifetime Tour wraps up Wednesday November 29 at Guns N’ Roses’ home base, the Los Angeles Forum. After a six month hiatus, Axl and crew will head to Europe for a six week trek.
