Apparently it’s not good enough to just eat chocolate anymore, stick it up your nose! (But don’t actually, I don’t imagine that ending well).
In Belgium, a chocolate lover named Dominique Persoone took to sniffing chocolate and came up with methods to perfect the trend. He owns a shop called The Chocolate Line, where you can indulge.
A candy shop in Vancouver, The Licorice Parlour, owned by Mary Jean Dunsdon, heard about the chocolate snorting phenomenon and brought it to BC a couple of years ago. The Province wrote an article about it.
A fellow named Nick Anderson also tried this and decided to make his own blend. This includes: gingko biloba, taurine and guarana, ingredients found in energy drinks. He’s called it Coco Loko.
Coko Loko is a snortable chocolate powder that gives you an energy boost for about 30-60 minutes without the crash. This hasn’t been approved by the FDA but is still on the market. There’s more via Fortune.com.
