Paul McCartney was one of the mega-performers at last Saturday’s edition of Desert Trip, and he will be doing an encore this weekend. And what is Sir Paul doing in the interim? Why, he’s hanging out in the desert around Indio — and tonight, he’s playing a comparatively intimate gig: it’s at the 300-seat Pappy & Harriet’s Bar, in nearby Pioneertown.
That’s right, 300. Not 3000.
If you’re also still lurking around Indio and would like to rock out smallishly with Mr. McCartney, you’ll need to be on your game. Tickets go on sale (in person sales only) at 630 and are limited to one per person, at $US50 each. Also, you’ll need to enter the bar immediately after you buy your ticket. Here’s where you’ll find more information.
How many more opportunities will you get to see Paul McCartney in a setting like this? I’m betting on a number close to zero.
