If you’re sad because you didn’t catch up with the Axl Rose-fronted AC/DC on their recently rerailed Rock Or Bust tour, be of good cheer: they might be showing up on telly, DVD, Blu-ray or other media in the not too distant future.
According to Alternative Nation, the very last performance on the tour, in Philadelphia Tuesday September 20, was captured by a professional crew for a yet-to-be announced release. At the concert, a disclaimer stated that “the recording may be released in theatrical, broadcast television, home video and/or any and all media”.
That show also marked the swan song of bassist Cliff Williams, who had announced his retirement via a video that day. His exit leaves Angus Young as the sole founding member, following some turbulent times which saw his brother Malcolm falling victim to dementia, Phil Rudd having his collar felt for various transgressions including a murder plot and drug possession, and Brian Johnson stepping down after his doctors warned him that continuing with live performances would result in permanent hearing damage.
